Hello, loyal River Jams customers!

My name is Grace, and I have the privilege of being an intern at River Jams, and I am currently attending culinary management at CVTC.

ı was originally born and raised in Türkiye, my plan is to bring cuisine from my motherland. Many foods have originated in Türkiye that most people don't know about, such as sourdough and baklava, etc.

When Jack and Jeannine asked me, if I would like to cook some of my menu items for River jams Ski Sprites show, I didn't hesitate. Naturally, I wanted to give everyone a taste of Türkiye. So, with that said, we will be serving our customers our favorite dessert, baklava, as well as Adana kebabs.

Adana Kebab is a flavorful, hand-shaped Turkish kebab made with spiced ground beef, grilled over an open flame. Named after the city of Adana in southern Türkiye, it’s known for its bold spices, smoky flavor, and tender texture. Served hot off the grill on a warm pita — it’s a must-try!

Baklava is a beloved Turkish dessert made with layers of thin, flaky phyllo dough, filled with chopped nuts, and sweetened with a light honey glaze. Baked to golden perfection and topped with pistachios, it’s crisp, rich, and melts in your mouth. A sweet finish you won’t forget!

Throughout my education, I am very blessed to have Melissa Tok as an instructor, who has supported me from the beginning. Special thanks to Jack and Jeannine, who hired me and supported me through my internship. My goal for future is to bring a taste of Türkiye to this area in my own food truck.
